really wish we had standalone vst's for some of this kontakt player stuff.

My favourites are the guitar sounds blended with the ethereal layers. I also like the ostenatos that have very human variations.

Why am I convinced that it has nothing to do with the Fantasy genre? Almost all of the phrases are either for comedy movies like home alone or animation. In addition, who is going to license traditional orchestral music these days? Most publishers love more epic action or dark fantasy that is mixed with electronic elements.

Thanks for the review. I have the other Arturia Augmented instruments as part of the V Collection X. I am not wild about them, and I have several Chinese instrument libraries, but at the $29 crossgrade, this one seems potentially useful for compositions with a modern Chinese flavor, without the challenges of authentic orchestration with individual instruments. I suppose this could be said of all the Arturia Augmented series: add woodwinds, brass, etc. to your composition without having to be that accurate about it. I just bought the upgrade after watching this video.

Any chance you can share a bit more detail on the crossgrade please? I own several Augmented libraries but can't find any crossgrade at all :(

At $29 crossgrade this is an easy purchase. It sounds fantastic, and the ability to turn off the 'atmospheric sounds' you get a very playable set of instruments.
